Description:

The 2018 Fall Program of Moduli Spaces and Varieties will be a ten week program, divided into two periods, one focused on the geometry of moduli spaces, and the other on birational geometry of varieties. The purpose of this program is to bring top experts in the fields, and gather young researchers and students from Asia and China, to this program to teach, to learn, to share, and to collaborate.
 
The program consists of three workshops, lecture series given by invited speakers during the non-workshop weeks, and other seminar talks related to the topics of the program. The program will also offer basics notion courses in algebraic geometry for graduate students, and organize learning seminars for young algebraic geometers.
 
The first period of the program will focus on moduli spaces and the related topics, lasting 4 weeks. After a week of recess (the first week of Oct.,national holiday), the second part will be devoted to birational geometry of varieties.
